 The
pencil Doppler probe allow for monitoring of subcutaneous and sometimes
deeper arteries and veins. It can be valuable in both pre-operative
evaluation ad post-operative monitoring. The probe is placed on the
surface of the skin with an ultrasonic gel interface. In the
operating room it can be used to locate major blood vessels and
occasionally perforators to skin paddles. |
