Microsurgeon.org

An atlas of microsurgery techniques and principles.

About Us

When we decided to create this web site our goal was to provide educational material relevant to microsurgery and reconstructive plastic surgery.  We want it to present relevant scientific information to those interested in these topics, and possibly in some cases to stimulate more research into the areas we touch upon.  We are hopeful that you to find these pages informative and helpful.

Plastic surgery is a visual field, and to convey surgical procedures and concepts, graphics are essential. For this reason we rely on the hundreds of images here to help describe important microsurgical principles and procedures. If you click on most of the images, a large plate will pop up with a much larger image detailing the text graphically. We have limed these pop-up images to 750 pixels in size at the widest dimension to help preserve bandwidth, but for slow lines these are quite large. As a result, low bandwidth connections are not optimal for this graphic rich informational site.
